At the Metropolitan Council, sustainability is protecting our regional vitality for generations by preserving our capacity to maintain and support our region’s long term well-being and productivity. Through leadership, stewardship, and collaboration we make contributions that make environmental and economic impacts for all who live in the Twin Cities Metro Area. In 2022, we completed a Climate Action Work Plan that outlines commitments and strategies for the council to implement over the next 5 years.
